- Tuesday, 8/29/17  Judges 14:1, And Samson went down to Timnath, and saw a woman in Timnath of the daughters of the Philistines. The life of Samson illustrates the saying, "God can draw a straight line with a crooked stick."  Or, "God is so hard up for help, He'll use anyone, even you or me.”

- Tuesday, 8/22/17  Acts 8:4, Therefore they that were scattered abroad went every where preaching the word. They took their exceedingly bitter lemons and made gallons of sweet lemonade. Will you do the same? (Hint: the recipe calls for lots of sugar, which, in the Bible, is spelled J-E-S-U-S.)

- Tuesday, 7/18/17  John 11:5, Now Jesus loved Martha, and her sister, and Lazarus [but let him die.] Loving doesn’t mean keeping the loved from from ALL pains. Some pains are necessary, and some are beneficial. Use good judgment; ask for wisdom; but don’t always “play nice.”

- Tuesday, 7/11/17  Leviticus 11:45, For I am the Lord that bringeth you up out of the land of Egypt, to be your God: ye shall therefore be holy, for I am holy. A reminder that we all are to be striving to become holy. Very simply...are you more so than a year ago? What’re you doing to become more so?

- Tuesday, 7/4/17  John 13:34, A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another. Idea: Read the Gospels looking for characteristics of how Christ loved, write them down, and incorporate them into our lives.

- Tuesday, 6/27/17  John 7:53-8:1, And every man went unto his own house. Jesus went unto the mount of Olives. Jesus slept outside while others had a house. To those who’re struggling financially: Jesus understands. Just keep doing right: your mansion is getting its final paint job and polishing.

- Tuesday, 6/20/17  I know you’re not perfect, but are you “righteous”? Saved? And trying to live correctly from the inside out? Psalm 97:11, Light is sown for the righteous, and gladness for the upright in heart. Then the crop that will be harvested is all yours. (V12: so “rejoice.”)

- Tuesday, 6/13/17  Jeremiah 25:4, And the Lord hath sent unto you all his servants the prophets, rising early and sending them; but ye have not hearkened, nor inclined your ear to hear. “To hearken”: to hear intelligently, with the implication of attention and obedience. The modern version is “Listen to hear and not to respond.”
