Bible Thoughts by Terry Hedderman

- Tuesday, 12/27/16  Do you get the impression that leaders like to be around you? Your bosses? Pastor? Senior staff members? Pro 22:11, He that loveth pureness of heart, for the grace of his lips the king shall be his friend.                                In need of God’s supernatural help? Ps 31:24, Be of good courage, and he shall strengthen your heart, all ye that hope in the Lord . “Courage” means to be obstinant or resolute. You keep doing and being what you’re told to be and do, and He’ll strengthen you.

- Tuesday, 12/13/16  Rev 16:9, And men were scorched with great heat, and blasphemed the name of God...and repented not to give him glory. In problems, don’t be guilty of looking at others’ actions and not your own. You can only control/change you.

Tuesday, 11/22/16  Mal 3:1a, Behold, I will send my messenger, and he shall prepare the way before me. Pastors, SS teachers, parents: remember that those are God’s people that you speak to; they’re not yours. And, remember that your job is to point them to Christ and not to yourself.

Tuesday, 10/25/16  Exo 33:13, Now therefore, I pray thee, if I have found grace in thy sight, shew me now thy way, that I may know thee... Knowing His way is good; doing it is better; but they are not the end goals. We’re to learn them so as to know Him. Quit practicing religion and get acquainted with, and love, a Person.

Tuesday, 10/18/16  Neh 9:31, Nevertheless for thy great mercies’ sake thou didst not utterly consume them, nor forsake them: for thou art a gracious and merciful God. Notice, in spite of their sin, He did not forsake (leave them behind). Do those who’ve sinned against you and tried to apologize feel forsaken (no longer worth your time and effort)? Confirm your love.                 Jacob needed to get things square with God. Gen 32:24b, And Jacob was left alone; and there wrestled a man with him until the  breaking of day. 1You need to meet God alone, and take ownership of your sin.  2It’ll not be a pleasant experience (wrestling is strenuous.)
