Sunday, 6/7/15 Ps 112:1 Praise
ye the Lord. Blessed is the man that feareth the Lord, that delighteth greatly
in his commandments. Idea: write prayer reminders in your Bible. Next to
this verse, maybe write, “Help me to love Your word more!” If you avoid doing
things that are “beneath your dignity,” then you’re not very much like God. Ps 113:6, Who humbleth himself to behold the things that are in heaven, and in
the earth! Regular, scheduled humbling should be a part of your day or
week. How? Thinking, confessing of sins, physically putting you face on the
floor or ground, or fasting are some ways.
Monday, 6/8/15 2 Thess 1:2 Grace unto you, and peace, from God our Father and the Lord Jesus
Christ. How long has it been since you asked for God to give you grace and
peace for the day? (To speak, work, organize, run errands?) How long since you
prayed for these things for your family members? Ps
115:1 Not unto us, O Lord, not unto us,
but unto thy name give glory, for thy mercy, and for thy truth’s sake. Just
a reminder that you deserve credit for nothing positive in your life! All
credit for N-E-thing in your life goes to Christ...so: 1Quit
looking for it, and, 2Pouting if someone else
fails to give it to you, takes it from you, or gets it instead of you. “But I
deserve it!” You deserve Hell...and
anything that’s better than Hell (including not getting credit) is more than
you deserve.
Tuesday, 6/9/15 Mark 5 “Steps to a Miracle” 1Need
one. (That’s the main step.) V25, ...issue
of blood 12 years. 2REALLY need it. V26, ...suffered..spent all...grew worse. 3Get
to Christ. V28, If I may but touch his
clothes... If you think your
situation is HORRIBLE, that’s AWESOME!!! 1
Tim 4:1 Now the Spirit speaketh
expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving
heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils; speaking lies in hypocrisy;
having their conscience seared with a hot iron...(the next verses give a
good synopsis of Catholicism). I submit this verse to you to simply advise you
to be vigilant about your own spiritual well-being. These who departed
didn’t/don’t realize that they are, or they think they’ve got good reasons for
what they’re doing. Stay true to the Bible; stay humble; confess often; pray
for wisdom.
Wednesday, 6/10/15
1 Tim 4:14a Neglect not the gift
that is in thee... What spiritual
gifts do you have for the perfecting of
the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of
Christ (the local church)? (See Rom
12/1 Cor 12, 14/Eph 4.) Which do you have? Are you using them for God? 1
Kings 20:20 And they slew ever one his
man: and the Syrians fled... 1YOU can’t win a whole war,
but you can do your job. 2YOU can’t control if the
one to you does their job, but you can do your job. 3Quit
fretting over what is out of your hands or which is none of your business: just
do your spiritual job!
Thursday, 6/11/15
Ps 120:1 In my distress I cried
unto the Lord, and he heard me. In crisis, actions are done by reflex.
Reflexive actions are simply deep habits. All habits start by doing an action
for the first time. Habits make hard work look like an art. Make effectual, fervent prayer a deep, daily
habit. 2 Cor 12:9, And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength
is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my
infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. Notice, “THAT”.
Seemingly, a proper attitude toward and a proper reaction to
testing/temptation/problems is the means of passing God’s test and receiving
the pwoer of the Holy Spirit.
Friday, 6/12/15
2 Cor 1:9, But we had the sentence
of death in ourselves, that
we should not trust in ourselves, but in God which raiseth the dead.
Problems come to us to help us build spiritual qualities. Philem 10 I beseech thee for my son Onesimus, whom I
have begotten in my bonds. A reminder that your converts are your children:
to the degree that you are able, you have a responsibility to rear them and
provide for their spiritual needs. (Of
course, as adults, or others’ biological kids, you may be hampered, but many of
us “surrender all parental authority” concerning our “babies” far too readily.)
Saturday, 6/13/15
Ps 119:2-3, Blessed are they that
keep his testimonies, and that seek him with the whole heart. They also do no
inquity: they walk in his ways. Your problems is not that you do too much sin; your problem is
that you keep and seek too little. Ps 118:1 O give thanks unto the Lord: for he is good:
because his mercy endureth for ever. Note:
“He is good...because.” The
enduring mercy is the evidence of His goodness.
His mercy keeps past offenses buried out of sight. Are you “good” to your spouse? Your kids? Your
parents? Your Pastor? Your peers? Your employees?

Thoughts from some others
- Real forgiveness is accepting the apology before it is even
offered.
- The most important tool of parenting is not the rod of correction
but the closet of prayer.
- There is little that can withstand a man who can conquer himself.
- It is hard to bring out the best on our children when we keep
pointing out their worst.
- Sir, maybe the problem isn't her lack of submission, but your lack
of Christlikeness.
- God is not behind you: He is before you so, if you are seeing your
past, you are looking in the wrong direction.
- Instead of putting others in their place, try putting yourself in
their shoes today.
- A church should be as concerned over a member who has strayed as a
dog owner is over their lost beloved FIDO. Yet, most aren't.
- God never tells us not to plan for tomorrow, just to not worry
about it.
- Don't you think that sometimes rather than hearing us say,
"God, I need you!" He may prefer that we say, "God, I want
You!"?
- Jesus was the friend of sinners not to indulge them in their sins
but to release them from the power of condemnation of their sins. It is
dangerous when we become friends with sinners and think indulging is more
important than helping seek their deliverance.
- Wisdom does not just make you more right, it also makes you more
understanding when you think others are wrong.
- The depth of your servanthood will determine the height of your
influence.
- Parent do NOT blame yourself for a messed up child. God is THE
perfect Father, so is it also His fault when His kids mess up?
- It was not when I arrived at the bottom that I came back to God.
It was when I came to myself. Some people hit bottom a long time before they
find themselves. Hitting bottom is consequential. Coming to self is convicting.
- It is easy to accept the fact that God's will is perfect, but
sometimes it is harder to accept that his timing is perfect. Trust God's
timing.
- God has put my sins behind his back, so if you are talking about
them, you are going behind God's back.

- Ps 72:17 His name shall endure forever: His name shall continue as long as the
sun: and men shall be blessed in him: allnations shall call him blessed.
That day can’t be too soon for God’s people. May He hasten that day!
- Pro 7:22 He goeth after her straightway, as an ox goeth to the slaughter, or as
a fool to the correction of the stocks. Weneed to teach young men the power
a woman has and their vulnerability to her advances.
- Ps 70:5 But I am poor and needy: make hast unto me, O God! Thou art my help and
my deliverer. Lord, make no tarrying. We should never get bigger thant
“poor and needy” in our own eyes if we expect help from our God.
- Bible thoughts! Ps 38:6,9, I am troubled; I am bowed down greatly; I go
mourning all the day long. Vs 9 Lord,
all my desire is before thee; and my groaning is not hid from thee. What could be more encouraging than to know
God is aware of us when we're going through tough times? He's there!!
Awesomeness!!
- Do you remember that first roller coaster ride you went on?
Once you got a taste of it, you were hooked!! Or the first time you drove by
yourself. That was a nice taste of freedom, eh? Or the first food that grew
outta your garden, or the white water rafting, or any other thing you tried
once and then REALLY liked it? I think that's what the Psalmist is taking about
here. Ps 34:8 O taste and see that the Lord
is good: blessed is the man that trusteth in him.
- Bible thoughts! Ps 38:6,9 I am troubled; I am bowed down greatly; I go mourning all the day long.
Lord, all my desire is before thee; and my groaning is not hid from thee.
What could be more encouraging than to know God is aware of us when we're going
through tough times? He's there!! Awesomeness!!
-
Even though there might be a long time of feeling THIS way: Ps 22:2 O my God, I cry in the daytime, but thou
hearest not; and in the night season, and am not silent. God says verses 4
& 5 will come: Our fathers trusted in
thee: they trusted, and thou didst deliver them. They cried unto thee, and were
delivered: they trusted in thee, and were not confounded.
- Bible thoughts! Psalm 40:5, Many, O Lord my God, are thy wonderful works which thou hast done, and
thy thoughts which are to us-ward: they cannot be reckoned up in order unto
thee: if I would declare and speak of them , they are more than can be numbered.
We are constantly on God's mind, folks! And He's ALWAYS proving it by just
plain being there and doing great things for us! Woohoo! Have a blessed day!!
- Bible thoughts! Psalm 42:3, My tears have been my meat day and night, while they continually say
unto me, Where is thy God? Where IS our God, they may ask?? He's right
there by our side making sure we live to see another day, and bringing
blessings into fruition in our lives!!!!! He's been there all along, and He
ain't about to go anywhere!!!! I believe this abundantly today!! Isn't HE
grand! Love Ya, Lord!!!!!
- Ps 73:17 Until
I went into the sanctuary of God, then understood I their end. Until we get
alone with God and see the world throught His eyes, we can get confused and
even envious.
- 2 Kings 5:3 And
she said unto her mistress, Would God my lord were with the prophet that is in
Samaria! For he would recover him of his leprosy. Loyalty and confidence in
our homes toward God’s man canot be overemphasized. One little slave girl
leared at home and witnessed to her masters in a foreign land.
- 2 Kings 5:20-27 is an account of a servant to God’s
prophet that made a very serious mistake by trying to make personal gain from a
miraculous even in the life of an idolatrous, self-righteous military leader.
We need to be very careful about trying to make personal gain at the expense of
God’s work.
