- Tuesday, 1/11/22 1 Corinthians 8:9, But take heed lest by any means this liberty of yours become a stumblingblock to them that are weak. We ARE to be our brother’s keepers. Just because you don’t have problem with something or don’t believe it’s wrong,
partaking of it may still hurt another believer. By and large, we pretty much know how to function in life. But would you like to know of a better way? The deal is, it’ll take some effort, some learning, some schooling which will involve some tests, some hard times, and probably some failures along the way. Are you up for the challenge? Enroll today. Psalm 86:11, Teach me thy way, O Lord; I will walk in thy truth: unite my heart to fear thy name.
- Wednesday, 1/12/22 Psalm 119:3, They also do no iniquity: they walk in his ways. The time spent not “walking in his ways,” is usually spent fantasizing about, justifying, or actually committing sin. We need to DO MORE of what we say we really, truly believe. Proverbs 6:26, For by means of a whorish woman a man is brought to a piece of bread: and the adulteress will hunt for the precious life. Remember that Satan will never tempt us with something that is distasteful to us, but rather, will present us with seemingly, the fulfillment of our fondest dreams. So, if something “too good to be true” just drops “out of the blue” into your life, it may be deadly.
- Thursday, 1/13/22 One of our greatest enemies is complacency; we get “good enough.” 1 Corinthians 13:4, Charity suffereth long, and is kind; charity envieth not; charity vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up. Do you long to love your spouse more and more deeply? Your kids? Your friends? Your God? Psalm 119:48, What man is he that liveth, and shall not see death? shall he deliver his soul from the hand of the grave? This is an obvious truth, and since it is true, only a fool would fail to prepare for this certain event. Only a fool would “take my chances” with God and sin and eternity. If you don’t know FOR SURE where you’ll be 1 second after you die, please message me. I’ll not show you what my church teaches or what my pastor says, but rather, what God says in His unchanging Word. Yes, the Holy Bible is His exact words...man simply was the secretary writing down what “the Boss” said: so it’s totally trustworthy. Message me.
- Friday, 1/14/22 Have you ever been around someone who was doling something horrible and didn’t realize how stupid they made themselves look? 1 Corinthians 15:34, Awake to righteousness, and sin not; for some have not the knowledge of God: I speak this to your shame. NONE of us are doing a fraction of what we should to win the lost. Oh may we ALL repent and rededicate ourselves to the FACT of Hell for most with whom we rub shoulders. Proverbs 10:3, The Lord will not suffer the soul of the righteous to famish: but he casteth away the substance of the wicked. Notice the two different methods that God uses. With the wicked, He deals with them on a physical, substantive way. But with the righteous, He deals with the soul. God uses different methods for different people, and He has different purposes and agendas for each. 1He knows how to get YOUR attention. 2He has a will and a plan for YOU. 3He is ACTIVELY working in everyone’s life because He cares about each individual. 4If you feel the screws are being put to you but not to your neighbor, that may be true, but, 5just because the methods (that you see) may be different, doesn’t mean that He is any more or less involved in shaping them, nor does it mean that He is “abusing you.” 6A great coach “torments” his players...with the goal of THEM holding up the championship trophy. 7So you just do you and learn what you need to learn and be prepared when Coach calls your number.
- Saturday, 1/15/22 Psalm 93:4, The Lord on high is mightier than the noise of many waters, yea, than the mighty waves of the sea. Just a reminder that He is bigger than even your most dire circumstances. If you’re going through a storm (bills, COVID, heartbreak, pain) He’s governing it and watching you. Psalm 119:132, Look thou upon me, and be merciful unto me, as thou usest to do unto those that love thy name. Maybe if we would do a little more of what we used to do for God and His people, He would do a little more of what He used to do for us... Remember, Christianity and Bible doctrine are for DOING, not just believing; for OBEYING, not just hearing. Lord, forgive me and help me...
- Sunday, 1/16/22 1 Kings 8:33, When thy people Israel be smitten down before the enemy, BECAUSE they have sinned against thee, and shall turn again to thee... Negative occurrences aren’t always because of unconfessed sin in our lives, but we can’t discount that possibility. “Examine yourself.” Romans 9:4, Who are Israelites; to whom pertaineth the adoption, and the glory, and the covenants, and the giving of the law, and the service of God, and the promises... God had SSOOOO much for His people: He simply demanded obedience and service...and they refused. Are you living a “deprived” type of Christianity? Are you defeated? Ho-hum about the Lord? Bored with Christianity? He and His way are wonderful, exciting, and joy producing. If that doesn’t describe our Christian lives, we’re missing it, and fixing it is our responsibility.
- Monday, 1/17/22 2 Corinthians 12:7, And lest I should be exalted above measure through the abundance of the revelations, there was given to me a thorn in the flesh, the messenger of Satan to buffet me, lest I should be exalted above measure. With great positives come great negatives. 1 Thessalonians 4:1, Furthermore then we beseech you, brethren, and exhort you by the Lord Jesus, that as ye have received of us HOW ye ought to walk and to please God, so ye would abound more and more. Notice “how.” Preachers are to tell HOW to live, which means specifics and which means pointing out when we are not walking the right pathway. Don’t get mad when your sin gets emphasized. God, not the preacher, is trying to get your attention, for YOUR sake, for YOUR happiness.
