Sunday,
5/24/15 Matt 25:15 And unto one he gave 5 talents, to another 2, and to another 1; to
every man according to his several ability... A reminder that your beauty,
brain, and ‘bilities are all gifts from God. You have no right for any proudful
boasting. Even the strength to use them comes from Him. So...step off of the
stage: you’re not the star. The spotlight belongs to Christ. 1 Sam 26:19 If the Lord have stirred thee up against me,
let him accept an offering: but if they be the children of men, cursed by they
before the Lord; for they have driven me out this day from abiding in the
inheritance of the Lord, saying, Go serve other gods. Those of you actively
persecuting, or hating, or gossiping about another...if you succeed in driving
that person away from God...think of the souls that won’t get saved, the family
that’ll get discouraged, the Sunday School classes that won’t be taught...will
you want to see what you accomplished in eternity. Encourage people.
Monday,
5/25/15 Ps 27:8 When thou saidst, Seek ye my face; my heart said unto thee, Thy face,
Lord, will I seek. How does your heart react to God’s voice? Refusal?
Ignoring? Or, do you feel He doesn’t talk to you? Do you feel your Bible time
is a waste of time? I can help with that. Matt
25:21 His lord said unto him, Well done,
thou good and faithful servant: thou hast been faithful over a few things, I
will make thee ruler over many things: enter
thou into the joy of the Lord. After salvation, this life is mainly a test
of our faithfulness in using lesser gifts (money, time, strength, etc.) In the
Kingdom, our degree of faithfulness (or not) will be recompensed greatly.
Tuesday,
5/26/15 Matt 26:67 Then did they spit in his face, and buffeted him; and others smote him
with the palms of their hands. Helping others out of their sin problems
isn’t all cookies and lemonade...are you up for the challenge? 2 Sam 9:1 And David said, Is there yet any that is
left of the house of Saul, that I may shew him kindness for Jonathan’s sake?
Here’s a twist: do you “show kindness” or are you just nice and sweet?
Basically, David then adopted Mephibosheth. In other words, it cost him
something.
Wednesday,
5/27/15 Pro 25:2 It is the glory of God to conceal a thing: but the honor of kings is to
search out a matter. Parents, bosses, teachers: do you thoroughly search
out/investigate a matter before you assign guilt? Your underlings deserve an
honest effort before they are punished. 2
Sam 10:1-7 The Ammonites assaulted David’s ambassadors who were bringing a gift
to their king, and David did nothing. Then, they hired mercenaries, and so
David was forced to go to war. Lesson: if you act like a jerk, you’ll be
treated like a jerk. Also, don’t be so suspicious of others’ goodness.
Thursday,
5/28/15 Pro 25:9 Debate thy cause with thy neighbor himself; and discover not a secret
to another. This may be one of the most disobeyed verses in the whole
Bible...how is your obedience to it? (Remember that the Lord can see all of
your FB posts and texts, and listens to all your conversations!) 2 Sam 12:7 And Nathan said to David, Thou art the man.
God is more than capable of exposing your sin and FORCING you to face it,
acknowledge it, and deal with it in a public arena. Wouldn’t you rather just
confess and forsake it privately? So...what's keeping you from doing
that...say...NOW?
Friday,
5/29/15 2 Sam 14:14 For we must needs die, and are as water spilt on the ground, which
cannot be gathere up again... Today you were given 1440 minutes. Do you
realize that as I am sending this, about 440 of those are gone? What will you do
with the remaining 1000? Don’t waste them on pointless entertainment or silly
sin. Don’t squander them on unforgiveness or pettiness. Don’t selfishly spend
them on you and what makes you happy. Live for Eternity and its King. Ps 31:2 Bow down thine ear to me; deliver me
speedily: be thou my strong rock, for an house of defense to save me.
Instead of asking for quick deliverance, maybe we should ask for quick learning
on our part of whatever lessons God has for us. Worry about your duties and
God’ll care for His.
Saturday,
5/30/15 Pro 24:16 For a just man falleth 7 times, and riseth up again: but the wicked
shall fall into mischief. 1“Falling” usually indicates
movement. The just man is moving forward for God. (I rarely fall standing
still.) 2The just person WILL fall sometimes. When that’s you,
don’t freak out. When it’s your child or a dear friend or leader, don’t freak out. 3All
must choose each time whether to rise or remain down. 4The
just person WILL rise. Are you a just person? I
am for every one who simply posts a Bible verse on their page, but consider
these two verses: Neh 8:8 So they read in the book in the law of God
distinctly, and gave the sense, and caused them to understand the reading.
Acts 8:31 And he said, How can I, except
some man should guide me? And he desired Philip that he would come up and sit
with him. All of us need the Bible explained to us. Don’t assume that we
will see the same truth or get the same blessing or correction that you did.
Explain why you’re posting it; explain what you learned or were reminded of.
Keep posting the verses...but “give the sense” too.

Thoughts from some others
- Praying for America's sins has
more power than than just criticizing them, but then again, most of us are
better critics than we are prayers.
- Sometimes it is not a
"holier than thou" attitude that shows our pride as much as a
"busier than thou" one.
- Never be
more aware of how much you suffer than you are of how much you sin.
- Don't
hit the ground running until you have first hit the ground kneeling.
- Misery
loves company and when it cannot find company it creates misery in others so it
has company.
- It is a
great danger when we believe everything we think. Remember, the heart is
deceitful.
- I have
my opinion. You have your opinion. God doesn't have ANY opinions. He has the
truth.
- The dry
seasons in our lives may be God's way of getting us to thirst for him.
- Those
who have fallen the hardest usually become those who mend others the tenderest.
- Don't
pray for God to make you a better husband. Ask him to help you love your wife
as Christ loved the church and you will become a better husband.
- As
flowers lean towards the sun, may I lean my life towards the Son.
- There is
no such thing as a strong Christian. There are just some weak Christians who
have discovered a strong God.

- Pro 11:30 The
fruit of the wise is a tree of life; and he that winneth souls is wise. Do
you share your life? Do you tell others what God has done for you? Do you let
your light shine so others can see? Do you care about the souls of others? Do
you care to be wise? How is your wisdom meter growing?

Kings 19:3 And when he saw that, he
arose, and went for his life, and came to Beersheba, which belongeth to Judah,
and left his servant there. Even great men of God can become fearful,
discouraged, and depressed when they focus on circumstances instead of the
Lord.

Kings 14:16 And he shall give Israel up
because of the sins of Jeroboam, who did sin and who made Israel to sin.
Ungodly leadership can bring the wrath of God on a whole nation.
- Bible thoughts! Ps 27:6 And now shall mine head be lifted up above mine enemies round about me:
therefore will I offer in his tabernacle sacrifices of joy; I will sing, yea, I
will sing praises unto the Lord. If there's one thing we are sometimes
missing in life, it's joy...myself included!
Let's
continually find our peace and happiness in the things of God, shall we? Have a
most blessed day, friends!
- Bible thoughts! Ps 28:7 The Lord is my strength and my shield; my heart trusted in him, and I
am helped: therefore my heart greatly rejoiceth; and with my song will I praise
him. We find out the hard way that we cannot continue on without God's
help! He's awesome and He's able!!
- Bible thoughts! Ps 29:11 The Lord will give strength unto his people; the Lord will bless his
people with peace. Oh my word, if that verse doesn't get you fired up,
nothing will! Isn't our God a great King?! Amen!!
