Bro. Bill Burr

You may be interested to listen to the evening sermon by Bro. Schaap on our site this week. "The Danger of Excessive Goodness" is the title of the sermon. It is our evening sermon of the week by Bro. Schaap for the week of 10/05/08 and was preached on 10/28/07. Bro. Burr came to the platform during the sermon and sung "The Winning Side". This was the last time Bro. Burr sang in public.

I'm Amazed

The music from the services of 10/05/08 is now available.  No, I didn't make a mistake, songs 6 and 7 appear to be the same. The song "I'm Amazed" by the choir was so wonderful, Preacher had them sing it again!

Duty

Hi folks, This week you get to listen to one of my all time favorite sermons, "Duty". I was there in 1978 when Bro. Hyles preached it. It radically transformed my life!  This is that kind of a sermon that should be listened to on a regular basis to keep your battery charged up!  It is also on the Classics by Bro. Hyles page.  The audio quality of the copy on the front page is better than the one in classics. I will replace that one with this, perhaps next week.   Bro. Schaap's "How Satan Gets a Good Family to Go Bad" is also a must hear sermon. Enjoy! www.baptist-city.com

Satan's Traps

The sermons for the week of 9/14/08 await you!   Be sure to listen to Bro. Schaap's sermon "How Does Satan Get Good Christians to Go Bad?" You will learn a lot.  All of the sermons are potentially life changing! www.baptist-city.com

A Carbon Copy

Hello friends, The sermons for the week of 9/07/08 are ready for you.  Both of Bro. Schaap's sermons will be a great blessing to you.  And do not forget the sermons by Bro. Hyles.  Both of them will greatly benefit you. As usual, you probably will not guess what the sermons are about by the titles! www.baptist-city.com

And Can It Be?

The four great sermons for the week of 8/31/08 are now avaialable on our site.  If you would like to hear what First Baptist Church of Hammond was like when Bro. Hyles first came, you will love "A Necessary Initiation". Some of the stories are quite humorous, and the teaching is tremendous!  "Get in a Rut Quick" is one of those sermons that WILL change your life if you apply the teaching.   The two sermons by Bro. Schaap are on the subject of love.  If you have ever attended FBC regularly, you will know what I mean when I say that the Sunday morning sermon is more like a Sunday evening sermon.  Fasten your seat belts! We also have the new issue of "The Voice" for you.  The song of the week is well worth a listen!!!!! www.baptist-city.com
