- Tuesday, 5/1/18 Genesis
13:7, And there was a strife between the
herdmen of Abram's cattle and the herdmen of Lot's cattle: and the Canaanite
and the Perizzite dwelled then in the land. An old outline, but when we
fuss with other believers, the unsaved see it. Do you criticize your spouse or
church folks? Do you cause them to do so?

Proverbs 16:2, All the ways of a
man are clean in his own eyes; but the Lord weigheth the spirits. Remember
that my opinion, your opinion matter little. What does God say specifically?
What general principles does He teach? Run things through an objective
counsellor who knows Him.

- Tuesday, 4/17/18 Here’s
another one to be taken by faith: Psalm 72:18, Blessed be the Lord God, the God of Israel, who only doeth wondrous things. The problems I face...are
wondrous. The struggles I endure...are wondrous. The questions without
answers...are wondrous.
- Tuesday, 4/10/18 John 20:9, For as yet they knew not the scripture, that he must rise again from the dead. Being acquainted with is not the same as “knowing.” You are aware that He said He’d generously reward our services and sacrifices, but do you “know” that? Do you act as if you do?
- Tuesday, 4/3/18 Psalm
119:60, I made haste, and delayed not to
keep thy commandments. Any delay in obedience usually is spent in
disobedience. We’ve all held on to pet sins and finally let them go, and then
wondered, “What was the big deal about that?” The same is true about the issue
God most recently talked to you about.

Proverbs 21:2, Every way of a man
is right in his own eyes: but the Lord pondereth the hearts. Very simply:
do you want things the way you can see them, from a human’s ground-level
viewpoint, or would you rather use and trust God’s high and omniscient
viewpoint? It’s an easy answer to verbalize: now live it.
- Tuesday, 3/20/18 For
the last 7 days, I’ve taught on 1 Peter 3:8-9. The verse gives explicit
instructions and a promise. Here’s the promise:
[do these things] knowing that ye are thereunto called, that
ye should inherit a blessing. God DOES demand a lot, but His rewards are
far greater than His demands.
- Tuesday, 3/13/18 1
Peter 3:8a, Finally, be ye all of one
mind... What mind? It’s all about God’s will, not yours or mine; He’s in
charge; I am no better than you nor you than me; I am called to serve you; I
understand you’ll mess up: I have forgiveness ready for that.
- Tuesday, 3/6/18 Luke
4:44, And he preached in the synagogues
of Galilee. We preach sermons about Jesus’ miracles; children hear Bible stories
of them. But, this verse speaks of hours and days of unknown, un-celebrated
“boring” toil...no miracles, just teaching. Big days are rare: do right every
day.
