- Tuesday, 11/14/17  Psalm 84:4, Blessed are they that dwell in thy house: they will be still praising thee. Selah. In the midst of troubles, it’s easy to just mope and feel sorry for ourselves. It’s hard to focus on positives. But, God says our spirit will be stilled by praising. Do it by choice and/or by character, or even out of desperation.

- Tuesday, 11/7/17  Psalm 40:10a, I have not hid thy righteousness within my heart... A blunt question: does this describe you? Your heart is righteous, but how long has it been since you tried to get someone saved? Since you said the words, “If you died today, do you know...”? This week: rectify things.

- Tuesday, 10/31/17  If someone wanted to be a big blessing to you, what would they give or get you, or what would they do for you? What’s your favorite meal? dessert? activity? Here’s God’s: Psalm 11:7a, For the righteous Lord loveth righteousness. Go give Him a big blessing: go do and be righteous today.

- Tuesday, 10/24/17  Psalm 144:3, Lord, what is man, that thou takest knowledge of him! or the son of man, that thou makest account of him! We are proud creatures and often get full of ourselves. And, yes, we’re His children, but never think for a moment that He owes us anything: attention, provision, deliverance...anything.

- Tuesday, 10/16/17  2 Samuel 24:10, And David's heart smote him after that he had numbered the people (and 70,000 men died.) David was an old man here. We adults need to be as circumspect or more so than we ever have been regarding sin. We never fully get over any of it...it lurks and WILL rise again if neglected.

- Tuesday, 10/9/17  2 Samuel 16:10, ..so let him curse, because the Lord hath said unto him, Curse David. I love how God shows us the humanity of His heroes! The sweet psalmist of Israel, called by the Bible “a holy man of God,” felt abandoned by his God. Maybe my depression/low times/doubts aren’t so sin-FULL after all.

- Tuesday, 9/19/17  1 Samuel 25:13, And David said unto his men, Gird ye on every man his sword. David wrote psalms while running from Saul but was about to commit murder here. No amount of good deeds justifies any bad deeds. Nor does any amount of future bad undo the past good.
