Deadly Responses to Sin

Genesis 19:16

"And while he lingered, the men laid hold upon his hand, and upon the hand of his wife, and upon the hand of his two daughters; the LORD being merciful unto him: and they brought him forth, and set him without the city."

Make no mistake, sin always leads to death. Romans 6:23 is still true when it says,

Grieving the Spirit of Your Home

Ephesians 4:30

"And grieve not the holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption."

One of the sins against the Holy Spirit is the sin of grieving Him.

Stay Awake!

Acts 20:9

"And there sat in a window a certain young man named Eutychus, being fallen into a deep sleep: and as Paul was long preaching, he sunk down with sleep, and fell down from the third loft, and was taken up dead."

The story from the verse above is about a young man who went to hear the Apostle Paul preach.

Save the Best for Last

John 2:10

"And saith unto him, Every man at the beginning doth set forth good wine; and when men have well drunk, then that which is worse: but thou hast kept the good wine until now."

When I ran track in high school, one of the things we learned in the longer events was to save some energy for the last lap.
